motorcycle chic

(Ebay backpack vest, Alice + Olivia x payless boots, Alexander McQueen gloved clutch, Herve Leger cutout dress, Deena & Ozzy glove, Urban Outfitters fringe earrings, Alkemie shell cuff, Alexander Wang boot, YSL ring)

Holy Cow, learning photoshop was a real bad idea.

For the longest time I had ONE half glove in my purse. Dont ask me why or where I misplaced the other pair. But having a glove permanently attached to ur clutch is pure genius.

emmanuel limon

Emmanuel Limon from from Stylelikeu on Vimeo. is making its way around the blogging circuit. it's kind of interesting to see which video people pick as an extension of their own taste.

i gave the girls a fair try, i really did. but steel plated boots, DC pants, hardware necklaces, ugly glasses, and mother f-ing cowboy spurs... definitely style like me.

slummin it at the 6

"We are such stuff as dreams are made on " Shakespeare

(DIY cutoff thrifted shirt, BDG jeans, Ebay motorcycle boots, Ed Hardy tiger belt)

I got totally stoked over this periwinkle door. I haven't been this excited over a color since back when I discovered lavender roses and more recently my Tripp neon yellow skinnies.

The belt was one of those WTF purchases that you just look back on and wonder what the hell you were thinking. For some reason, it just called to me. Hey, at least it doesn't have rhinestones on it.

the new beater

i've always had an obsession with the union jack symbol. Combine that with some def leppard and some strategic cutouts and you've got the new rock n' roll beater.

everything here is vintage or thrifted except my chloe padlock bracelet.

i'm totally in love with the stackable watch look. found these 2 particular watches at value village. let's just say for $2 each, any expectation of functionality kind of goes out the window.

my newly acquired silver basket weave ring from a small market place in austin featured here with a whole wheat garlic spinach calzone. both taste bud tantalizing.

minty fresh

(Thrifted salvation army blouse and belt, Tripp leopard pants, Calvin klein pumps)

It just seemed mathematically correct to add this prim and proper mint green blouse with some punk ass leopard pants.

on the 23rd floor

We took a trip to the 23rd floor of the Hilton downtown. A-mazing.

(DIY studded Value Village bustier, BCBG tank, dad's vintage pants, Zigi Soho platforms)

I initially zoned in on these platforms because they were too cool for school, pushing the heights (literally) into stripper-dom. It was only after the fact that I realized they're total knockoffs from the Balenciaga '09 resort collection. I'm sure W.ill got more than a couple of chuckles watching me stumble around on probably my highest pair of heels yet.

p.s. (to my anonymous reader), try

steve madden studded booties)

so i was randomly browsing alexander mcqueen on ebay and there was a random listing for the mcqueen x target studded shorts that was using one of my photos from my blog. um, i guess i'll let it slide. i feel so used.

one of my classmates deemed my signature hairstyle 'pebbles' as you can see in the last pic (from the flinstones of course!). i never thought of the resemblance, so cute!

fly your pretty wings around

(Thrifted goodwill leopard jacket, AE tee, tripp jeans, Steve Madden booties,
Jee Vice sunglasses)

Funny story. One day I was studying. Happened to spot this guy with a really nice camera, struck a conversation with him, and next thing you know we're running around town living the dream. I did a mini-interview with W.ill, the man behind the lens.

p.s. yes, those are balls in my drink. Bet yall don't know NOTHIN bout that.

1) how did you get into photography?

I didn't photography got into me, it just kinda clicked, I have a lot of people that support my work and make me want to do better work. I've been taking photos for as long as i can remember and I didn't realize I had so much love for it until recently.

2) where do you find your inspiration?

From beauty, Its really hard to be inspired with the monotony of everyday life, when I can finally snap shots all day and not have monetary constraints, then inspiration wont be far away ( if that makes any sense ) but I have found a muse if she'll have me, and she is just the catalyst I need to keep going, I draw my energy from others

3) What do you think makes you different from other photographers?

Nothing, unless your talking about bad, rich or unprofessional photographers, Im the opposite of those guys

4) If you could tell people one thing about you as an artist, what would it be?

Im not sure if i consider myself an artist, I just document what I see as art, whether it be a gorgeous stylish woman, or a beautifully engineered building, I just want anyone that views my images to feel what I felt when I compressed the shutter

5) Are there any artists that influence your style?

Not really, I love many different types of artists but my influence varies by what Im shooting, I never take a shot thinking "what would Demarchelier or Ansil Adams do?"

6) What's playing on your ipod right now?

I was actually just listening to one of my best friends stuff, he just sent me a new song, his name is The Shaman and I guess the name of the song is "Hun"... look him up why don't cha!!

7) If you saw a stylish woman walking down the street, what would she be wearing that would make you want to stop her and ask to take her picture?

Wow there is so many possibilities it would have to be kinda weird and original and of course daring, I love when women are confident and aren't afraid of their bodies

Got you all fired up with your Napoleon complex

I made a new friend.

I like to call him W.ill.
Because his photography skillz are sick.

(American eagle tee, Tripp zipper jeans, Steve Madden studded booties, Jee Vice sunglasses)

Thanks to the people over at Red Light PR for these awesome Jee Vice shades. These Red Hots have been worn by the likes of Kim Kardashian, LiLo, and Anne Hathaway and it's easy to see why. It's seriously like a potent shot of ultimate glamour bad ass to any outfit.

American Eagle used to be my go-to place for casual basics and yes, those cute grandma underwear. I had an old gift card that needed using so I picked up this perfect tissue tee. Otherwise, I really can't stand that store anymore.

These Steve Maddens are like an overtly tacky version of the infamous Guccis. But I seem to be fashionably attracted to anything overtly tacky these days.
