Patchwork

This nautical bag was sitting in my closet gathering dust. It has a large navy blue front pocket with the words "PUERTO RICO" on it and I didn't want to use it anymore because it carries memories of my last relationship that left me with a broken heart.

I realized that all I had to do was cut up some extra fabric that I had found at an estate sale and glue it onto the front pocket to cover the words and essentially the painful memories that I associate with it. Out of sight, out of mind works! Now, I couldn't be more happy with the fashionable result and the fact that I made something previously unusable usable again.

Now that's what I call redemption!
