i <3 DD's

(Vintage cardigan, UO circle scarf, Hanes DIY shredded tee, Ross dark denim jeans, Diesel shoes, Salvation Army belt)

These jeans caught my eye because they weren't just a dark denim. They were really a black denim. A little cool. A little baggy. A little just right.

I was so enamored with these shoes when I saw them back in the day, I had to get it in 2 colors.

It's amazing all the trends that make you want to buy, buy, buy. When all you have to do is search through your old clothes all the way in the back of your closet in the 'forgotten' section, and you just might find what you've been wanting all along. Or in my case, boxes marked 'Ebay stuff' that I was supposed to sell years ago.

My tribute to Lennon

(Salvation Army blazer, Worn Free Lennon tee, Marshalls DIY slashed pants, f21 peep toe shoes, UO necklace)

I got turned away from my BCBG interview (really BCBG inside a Dillards) today. Here is a re-enactment of today's events.

BCBG: You're actually going to be interviewing with Carolyn today.....O, no....no....no. I didn't see your pants. That is not appropriate for an interview, I'm sorry.

Me: Oh... well I thought this was 'fashion' retail.

BCBG: no.... this is an interview. You need to be business professional. Like a suit. Sorry.

Me: *shrug* ok. *walks away*

Wow, she was quite rude. Great. What am I supposed to tell my mom. She told me not to wear the pants as we were walking out the door.

Mom: How'd the interview go?

Me: Fine. (lie)

Mom: What did they say?

Me: well, my availability is limited so they said they were gonna interview some more people. (half lie)

Conclusion? 1) This outfit is only for the Erin Wassons in this world that don't have to get a job in the REAL world. 2) listen to your mom.

Needless to say, I don't care to go back and work with a manager with such an attitude. Funny thing is after I got turned away I made my way down to the purse department where 2 different sales associates complimented me on my pants. Figures...

WWJJD?

(Target reverse seam sweater, Angl white tank, Lucky Brand polka dot tank, Marshalls leggings, Macys boots, f21 horn necklace)

In times when my blood pressure really seems to rise, actually because of only one thing...I just ask myself 'WWJJD'?

What would Judge Judy do? Because she is the MAN.

Harem

(Hanes tank, Asos harem pants, Salvation Army belt, AE medallion necklace, f21 bracelets, Steve Madden heels)

not very original in my book. white tank with harem pants but that's as far as my brain would let me go today. plus i was still getting over the slight heartattack i had after they told me it would cost $661 to replace my broken cd player in my car. uh come again?

i'm liking these pants. if there were a way for me to wear my pants so low they hang off my ass...yeah that's wut harem is to me. it makes me that much more carefree.

Texas Fold 'Em

(Banana Republic vest, Mom's vintage polka dot blouse, Hot Topic studded belt, UO jeans, Asos foldover boots, Roxy plaid coat)

I went to sewing class today. I don't think I've ever been so excited about anything in my life...except going to the airport to pick up a certain somebody. We learned how to make a simple skirt and needless to say I had the shortest/smallest skirt in the class by a landslide. hmm...pictures to come soon!

Slasher

(Hurley peppered hoodie, AA gray leotard, f21 highwaisted shorts and pyramid rings, Marshalls DIY slashed leggings, Payless laceup booties, UO beanie, Ebay armor + lion ring)

I must profess my love for estate sales. It's sort of become a bonding activity for me and my mom being that she's always one for a bargain, and a hard bargainer she is). Today while running errands with my mom we happened to spot an estate sale sign and we just had to take a look-see. Apparently it was being run by some company called Margie Beegle sales that organizes and sells everything for you. There was a lot of things to browse but the 'sales associates' (as their tags state) were so stuck up and everything was way overpriced. One of the sales associates was even rude to my mom for no reason. o hell no. Needless to say we walked out with nothing. If you ever come across one of their estate sales, you can know what to expect.

Shortie

(Walmart cardigan and tank, f21 highwaisted shorts and fringe necklace, Target OTK socks, Ross shoes, Chloe padlock bracelet)

I had the genius idea (if you were here you'd note the signature sarcasm in my voice) of cutting my own bangs instead of just going into my hairdresser and getting a complimentary bang trim. I twisted them and cut...lo and behold they were too short. But in retrospect, I kind of like them short....but I sure ain't tryin' to be no Bettie Page.

(Salvation Army blazer, Joseph A floral sweater, H&M denim shorts, Gianni Bini patent boots)

Tights are a great way to conceal pale, ash dry, hairy legs. Theoretically speaking...*cough*

I'm just sayin...

(Salvation Army sweater, DIY studded Aldo bootes, BCBG bird ring)

A little bit, yes. How about we give someone such great admiration and respect AFTER they've proven they deserve it instead of just because we were givin symbolic promises of 'change'. Don't get me wrong, I wish for the best and only time will tell. I'm just sayin...
