Do you Believe in Magic?

My recent find from Value Village for $3. Cheaper than a meal at Mcdonalds. Imagine that.

Yes, I'm gloating. Only a little bit.

Gianni Versace would have been proud.

The other half

photo cred: knightcat, sartorialist

I'm kind of dying to try this sheer maxi skirt trend that's been happenening. Uber chic!

I'm putting on my stylist hat tomorrow and taking a friend to Value Village to find a hot outfit for him. I like a good challenge. I'll definitely be browsing the long skirt section. Wish me luck!

80s + 90s = 100%

(Find Rewind Vintage plaid vest and cowboy ankle boots, Urban Outfitters high waisted denim, Forever 21 hat)

So I collaborated with my friend to open Find Rewind Vintage. For those who have not visited the store yet, you can read our quick bios below: Leave me a comment and let me know if you're more like Celest or more like Noreen (me)! I'd love to know!

Celest's obsession with androgynous fashion began at the hearty age of 12, at which point she began raiding her father's closet and "borrowing" his sweaters and button ups. The clean lines of menswear were an instant attraction to Celest. But her mother's closet became just as appealing to Celest as she grew older, a closet filled with seventies clothing. Almost as symbolic as her parent's union, Celest combined the two styles to create a look that fuses menswear with colorful seventies clothing. Her weaknesses include blazers, colorblocks, rainbow patterns, stripes, ponchos, cardigans, vests, wooden heeled shoes, oxfords, spectator shoes, equestrian boots, button ups, and skinny ties.

Noreen's self proclaimed "rocker" style stems from her own love of music. Her inner sensual being and obsession for the pin-up girl era brings out her tendency towards vintage inspired lingerie and the concept of "innerwear as outerwear". She is often seen combining masculine and feminine pieces, but always with a little bit of attitude. Her weaknesses include oversized sweaters, studs, leather and suede, fur, 5 inch heels, skinny jeans, fringe, anything high-waisted, combat boots, bustiers, denim shirts, denim on denim, and the colors gray and neon yellow.

Sequin motor

Went to Austin City Limits a couple of weeks ago and had one of the best times of my life.
Saw my first live Muse performance. Matt Bellamy was decked out in a SILVER SEQUIN SUIT and played a neon lighted keytar. If that doesn't scream rockstar, I don't know what else will.

When I saw this sequin motorcycle jacket, it only brought back great memories of that night.

Miu Miu shoe shoe

Hello my friends. Long time no blog. I wondered there for a bit if I even remembered how to...but luckily blogging is much like riding a bike. I apologize for the absence, I've been out searching for some long needed inspiration in my life.

Fortunately during that time I've become the proud owner of a piece of MIU MIU history. Spring 2010 history to be exact! And it is glorious.

I just want to let all of my readers know that shoes and your mom (SAYM) run by lulu and your mom owes me a $300 refund from back in November 2009. She hasn't answered any of my calls or emails. Do not buy from her. Her 'customer service' is ridiculous. you've been warned.

Guess what she gets. a BIG FAT

Grand Opening of FourEyeFind

"Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months ~Oscar Wilde

well take that 6 months and divide it into the 20+ years that i've been alive and i've got way too many clothes. or as I like to say...

"When you can no longer see the floor of BOTH your closets, it's time to get rid of some shit."

FourEyeFind is kind of a trial experiment for me. I've got so much more stuff that I'm excited to add but first I want to see how well the store does.

In retrospect, this 'cleansing' of the closet made me realize that my love for fashion began almost more than 10 years ago.

I've realized I've got more than a few gems, including vintage and even some delicious runway pieces. Please take a gander and let me know what you think.

Herve Leger

I still haven't gotten over this peach blush creation from Herve Leger's spring '09 collection. It was love at first sight when I saw I spotted it on Kristen Stewart at her LA premiere of Adventureland. (which BTW, I immediately forgave her for her unfashionable tomboyish ways).

bold color. check.

sexy hemline. check.

attitude. check.

budget friendly. well...that needs a little work.

you may call it boxy. but i call it perfect.

opinions welcome

kind of feelin' these t-strap peep toes from, dare i say, Jessica Simpson's footwear line. They clock in at 5.5" which would put me at a cool 6'2". i'm thinking a pair of white ruffle socks with these would make them the absolute bomb.

weigh in and give me a yay or nay.

Camilla Belle in Valentino

I don't need to understand the logistics of this dress to absolutely love it. Definitely not for the weary and something the general public would never understand.

A Valenti-YES in my book!

Product Review

Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri nail line. All time favorite's gotta be Beige Blast and currently rocking Snappy Sorbet. Put these tips on a sugar cone and you got yourself a treat. heart print tights. The first day I wore these out I cannot count how many compliments I received. Extra bonus points for the fact they effortlessly bump any outfit up a cute sweet notch.

American Apparel jersey harem pant...unfairly referred to as the 'diaper pant' by a certain somebody i kno, i'm loving these for the simple fact they give you the 'i'm cool but could care less about fashion' vibe. when really, we both know the not caring part couldn't be further from the truth.

p.s. my apologies for being so neglectful (see: lame) of FourEyedFun. life gets in the way.

the best way to keep track when i do make a fashionable comeback is to follow me via Bloglovin. and trust me, i will make a mega comeback...with an obnoxious 3 posts a week. yes, i said it. people who post 3 times a week are indeed obnoxious.
