Just when I thought my creative well had gone dry, I came across that photo on because i'm addicted's blog. I happened to have a sweater that I got from Salvation Army that I bought for an A.Wang DIY but thought the fit wasn't right for it so I abandoned the sweater.

The obvious inspiration was in the shoulder area, and as the project progressed, the creativity gods blessed me and turned it into the piece you see putting slits along the arm (reminiscent of my last DIY) and adding a crapload of studs.

My mom says she hates it, but i know it's the most awesome shit she's ever seen.

Project Runway 6

Out of all 3 contestants on Project Runway 6 finale, the 3rd contestant kicked the other two designers' asses. But that's just my opinion. Maybe it's because I'm attracted to anything that has a hard edge.

Gstar F2009

I've always had an affinity for Gstar Raw ever since I happened upon it at an outlet mall in Austin. Unlike many fashion shows with all its bells and whistles, Gstars trademark seems to be less is more. With select usage of fabrics, and a mostly monochromatic color palette, I'm amazed how they're able to make each outfit interesting and still different.

My favs: the semi-matrix obi-belted coat and those damn jeans.
